- All three models were also among the winners of the “sport auto AWARD” last year. Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio wins the renowned readers’ competition for the sixth time in a row.
Alfa Romeo wins again in the “sport auto AWARD” election. Like last year, the Alfa Romeo Giulia won three classes at once. This means that the Italian sports sedan is once again one of the favourites of the readers of the car magazine. In previous years, too, they regularly elected the Alfa Romeo Giulia as one of the winners.
For the sixth time in a row, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio won the import ranking in the category “Production cars sedan/station wagons up to 100,000 euros”. With 510 hp of power, carbon fibre body components, high-performance braking system and sports suspension, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is one of the sportiest sedans on the market.
As in 2021, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce came out on top in the import models among the “standard cars sedans/station wagons up to 75,000 euros”. As the designation Veloce – Italian for fast – promises, the standard equipment is kept particularly sporty. In addition to the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 280 hp output, the outstanding features include the Alfa RomeoTM Q4 all-wheel drive, the AlfaTM Q2 mechanical limited-slip differential, the 19-inch alloy wheels and the leather-covered sports seats.
In the import ranking of the category “Production cars sedans/station wagons over 100,000 euros”, the readers chose the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm as the winner – a racing car with road registration. The special model, built in strictly limited numbers and already sold out, is based on the standard top version Quadrifoglio. Special features include increased power output of 540 hp and aerodynamics specially produced, drawing on the technical expertise derived straight from Formula 1, courtesy of the synergy with Sauber Engineering.

The “sport auto AWARD 2022” was already the 30th edition of the election. Around 10,000 readers voted for their favourites in 28 categories, each with an additional import rating. In the current competition, a total of 232 vehicle models were on the ballot.
